The Homeless Jesus

empty tomb pic

During each performance of our original play “The Homeless Jesus,” our visual artist, Marshall creates a large 4’x5′ charcoal sketch of the empty tomb, which we donate to the hosting church. This year, he has created an original smaller sketch from which we have made 11″x 17″ prints. These are for sale – half proceeds to support the Ark and half to Marshall, for $30 unframed or $70 in a 16″x 20″ wood frame. Call 519-667-0322 or send an email to arrange payment and delivery.

Serving London Since 1984

The Ark Aid Street Mission was founded in 1984. Since then it has grown in its mandate to serve people who live on the margins of society. The Ark, as it is popularly known, is a charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, supported by a wide variety of local people, churches and businesses. The motivating factor of the Board, staff, volunteers and donors is to practically express Christian faith and love where they are needed most.

Food Security

London Food Coalition van

London’s latest initiative for food security. With funding from Healthy Kids Community Challenge and Child Youth Network (City of London) a new refrigerated van has been purchased for the London Food Coalition. The Coalition is a cooperative venture of some 22 agencies in London which operate food programs. The Ark Aid Street Mission will operate the van on behalf of the Coalition and the distribution hub will be operated at the Salvation Army’s Centre of Hope. Find out more about this unique venture here.

It doesn’t stop with a donation. The clothing and apparel need to be sorted and sized and much more. Could you volunteer to help with this?

It is also good to be on the receiving end – able to sit down at a table and eat a good meal with others.

Your gently used clothing helps us greatly. This time of year we can especially use winter garments, coats, hats, scarves, mittens, gloves, boots, socks etc.
